Oattie & Clyde

Brief:

Tom, the founder of an alternative milk brand in Portland, had a lifelong lactose intolerance that fueled his passion for creating creamy and environmentally-friendly milk alternatives. The challenge was trying to bring his vision to life in a saturated market that embodied the brand's values of sustainability, animal welfare, and delicious taste.


Response:

To stand out in a saturated market, creating an engaging and punchy narrative and visuals was of utmost importance. That's why I came up with Oattie and Clyde, a couple of retirees who spread the joy of alternative milk to younger generations. This was a refreshing twist, considering that 90% of alternative milk drinkers are under 40. My illustrations are both entertaining and in line with the brand's values of celebrating those who refuse to fade into obscurity. We ain’t going quietly!
